Star Wars Battlefront Review in Progress

I’ve already played 12 hours of Star Wars Battlefront on PlayStation 4, but because it relies so heavily on its multiplayer servers, we’re holding off on a final, scored review until we can test them on all platforms at launch next week. Until then, here’s what I think of it so far.

Star Wars Battlefront captures everything I love most about Star Wars. It’s playful and imaginative, driven by a sense of adventure and fun above all else. In those ways, developer DICE has made exactly the Star Wars multiplayer shooter I’ve always wanted. The catch is that it comes with baggage, and doesn’t always know what to do with itself.

There is an immaculate attention to detail here. This looks, feels, and sounds like the original trilogy in almost every way, from the scorch marks on X Wings to that specific spark of blaster fire. The gorgeous aesthetic is so convincingly authentic that anything out of place stands out vividly. DICE’s original score, for example, sounded so wrong that I turned music off entirely. And at best, the character performances and movie one-liners are weird and distracting. At worst, they’re pandering and awful.

Street Fighter Characters Coming to Mobile RPG Blood Brothers 2

Thanks to the careless actions of M. Bison, three Street Fighter characters will soon be available in DeNA's free-to-play strategy RPG Blood Brothers 2.

According to developers, Ryu, Cammy, and M.Bison will be pulled into Blood Brothers 2's world after Bison opens a portal into the game's traditionally medieval fantasy world.

The characters will be available in-game after the upcoming update on December 3. On that same day, several live Street Fighter in-game events will take place, after which the characters will be available indefinitely. Blood Brothers 2 is currently available on iOS and Android devices.

The crossover between these two games is taking place only months before the release of Street Fighter V, the next official numbered sequel in Capcom's long-running fighting game franchise. Read IGN's Street Fighter V preview to learn more.

The Undertaker Tombstones a Turkey on The Tonight Show

In a rare live-TV media appearance, The Undertaker made a surprise showing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon as part of a promotional bit to hype the upcoming Survivor Series event on Sunday, November 22nd.

No, Taker didn't sit down for an out-of-character chat. He remained - well - The Undertaker. Answering the call of a fan who wanted to see him Tombstone a turkey. Take a look...

And yes, playing the role of the turkey here was WWE's Brad Maddox. Himself, I suppose, also making a rare TV appearance.

You Can Find the Bar From Cheers in Fallout 4

Codsworth might not know your name in Fallout 4, but there is a place you can go where everybody will know it.

Just over the road from Boston Common, which you can find on IGN's handy interactive Fallout 4 map, you'll find a bar called Prost! (The German equivalent of "Cheers!", of course.)

Venture down the steps, and you'll find a pretty good replica of the bar from Cheers. You'll find Sam's office, the pool room, and a bunch of little Easter eggs littered around the place. Check out our gallery above to see them all.

The entrance looks pretty similar to how it looks in the show, and you'll find various skeletal members of the cast inside. They're not named, but their position and what they're wearing could give away some clues. The postman's hat should be a dead giveaway for Cliff, and the corpse sitting beside him could only be Norm.

Microsoft Explains How DLC Works With Backward Compatibility

Microsoft has detailed how DLC released for Xbox 360 games will work with backward compatibility on the Xbox One.

Any disc-based or downloadable DLC you've already purchased will be available for games via backward compatibility. However, as games are essentially emulated, you will not be able to purchase any new DLC via the Xbox store on your Xbox One.

Talking to Game Informer, a Microsoft representative said: "we will support both digital and disc-based entitlements for Xbox 360 games running on Xbox One.

"Right now, backward compatibility does not emulate the Xbox 360 store and new Xbox 360 games can be purchased on your Xbox 360 or via Xbox.com."

Here Are the Known New Xbox One Experience Update Issues

Microsoft has acknowledged issues with the roll-out of the new Xbox One Experience update.

Offering "troubleshooting tips for some of the experiences we couldn't fully polish for launch of the New Xbox One Experience", Microsoft has detailed fixes for several issues, including problems with the first boot-up after update, content installation, and accessory and accessibility issues.

If you're having trouble booting up your console after the update and your console idles on the green Xbox One animated logo, you're advised to leave the console and wait up to 15 minutes. If after 15 minutes has passed the screen still hasn't changed, you should "hold the power button on the front of the console for 10 seconds until the console powers down. Wait 15 seconds, then power the console back on".

What’s the Surprising Connection Between Shazam and Darkseid?

With the release of Justice League: The Darkseid War - Shazam #1, DC offered a closer look at how Earth's Mightiest Mortal has been changed after becoming "the god of gods."

STK686235

Warning: this article contains spoilers for Justice League: The Darkseid War - Shazam #1!

Billy Batson had to grapple with an entire different set of powers in this issue. Whereas he's always been able to call on "the Wisdom of Solomon," "the Strength of Hercules" and so forth, Billy now has a new set of gods lending him their gifts. As if that weren't enough, Billy had to face off with a new foe in the form of Zonuz, the so-called "original god of evil."
