Half-Life 2 came out way back in 2004, and after all that time, putting it on a list like this runs the danger of veering into cliche. But it holds up, and holds up extraordinarily well. It's the game that first proved you can make a good shooter with a great story, and few have surpassed it in this regard after all this time. If you've never played it before, you'll quickly see why so many of us eagerly await the announcement of the third entry in the series.

The Hidden Meaning Behind Snape’s First Words to Harry
While Severus Snape's first encounter with Harry Potter in the film adaptation of Sorcerer's Stone is undoubtedly a memorable one, the hidden meaning behind his question to Daniel Radcliffe's character makes its impact all the more powerful.
A Tumblr post by user tomhiddles (via Bustle), reveals that Alan Rickman's question to Potter isn't just meant to embarrass him or challenge his intelligence. Instead, it serves as a statement of remorse and sorrow.

Sample the Yooka-Laylee Soundtrack
Yooka-Laylee is, by design, a spiritual successor to the N64's beloved Banjo-Kazooie – and it's being made by many of the very same ex-Rare folks that created the bear/bird combo we all love. One of those developers returning for Yooka-Laylee is composer Grant Kirkhope. He kindly provided the first sampling of the new game's soundtrack. Hear it in the video above, and while you do, read on to hear what Kirkhope had to say about the piece.
I told Kirkhope I got a kind of Caribbean vibe from the track, and he said, "Erm...it’s only the first bit that sounds that way maybe, the rest of the music is skewed towards each area that it fades to like in the original Banjo-Kazooie, and I think that Caribbean feel that you’re hearing might be because I’m using the marimba for the main melody at the start. I used the marimba because it features so heavily in both the BK games."
