Darth Vader in Video Games: A Visual History

Darth Vader is a bad dude, and his badness is almost unmatched. He personally gave the order to blow up an entire planet, and even before he broke bad, he was a constant thorn in the side of his master Obi-Wan and the entire Jedi council. While most Star Wars games focus on the exploits of Luke or some other characters who aren't bursting with bad intentions, sometimes Vader gets to take center stage. Playable or not, when Vader is around, you can almost guarantee there's going to be a whole lot of chokin' going down. Here is a look back at Darth Vader in his many appearances in the world of video games.

Playable or not, there's no denying the awesome draw of Darth Vader as a villain in gaming. The ultimate bad guy wields unparalleled power, but underneath all that bionic armor, there's a sweet, loving dad yearning to be free. What's your favorite Darth Vader appearance in gaming? The communication channels are open, so get the conversation going in the comments.

The Force Awakens: First Look at Constable Zuvio

Constable Zuvio, a new alien character set to appear in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, has been revealed.

Empire Online has our first look at the "tough and humorless" character, who, according to Lucasfilm, is a "vigilant law officer on a mostly lawless world," tasked with maintaining "order in a frontier trading post."

Neither Disney nor Lucasfilm have offered any additional information on this new alien character, though based on the sandy backdrop of the photo, Constable Zuvio could very well habit the planet of Jakku. The actor playing the character has yet to be revealed as well.

Tim Cook Says No Mac/iPad Hybrid Planned

Apple CEO Tim Cook has denied the idea that his company has plans to create a hybrid device that would merge the Mac and iPad.

Speaking to the Independent, Cook stated that such hardware would compromise Apple's goal to make the best personal computer, as well as the best tablet.

"We feel strongly that customers are not really looking for a converged Mac and iPad," he said. "Because what that would wind up doing, or what we’re worried would happen, is that neither experience would be as good as the customer wants. So we want to make the best tablet in the world and the best Mac in the world. And putting those two together would not achieve either. You’d begin to compromise in different ways."

Marvel’s first Star Wars crossover is here! The story will show what happens when Darth Vader crashes on a remote planet and the Rebels decide to throw all their might at him in an attempt to finally kill the Emperor's top enforcer. If that doesn’t give you nerd-chills down your spine then nothing will. It’s Darth Vader in the worst pinch in his life, forced to take on the entire Rebel Alliance in order to survive, with Luke, Han, Leia, the droids, and (our favorite) Aphra all getting in on the action. Marvel has been delivering nothing but winners with their Star Wars comics, giving us all the action we desire and all the emotional gut-punches we never knew we wanted, so we expect this to be one heck of a story.
