The Sphero BB-8 app controlled droid is the toy that seems too awesome to actually exist. We all doubted that adorable little soccer ball was anything more than CGI, but then they showed us the actual robot used in the movie and followed up by introducing this amazing smart-phone controlled toy. After that Sphero dropped the mic and walked off the stage.

Bryan Singer Reportedly Directing Next X-Men Movie in 2017

X-Men: Apocalypse director Bryan Singer will reportedly return to helm the next X-Men film.

According to Le Journal de Montréal (via Heroic Hollywood), Singer could begin shooting in early 2017, after production begins in November of 2016 at Mel’s Studios in Montreal.

A deal with Fox was allegedly struck recently for the next film to return to the Montreal studio due in part because of Singer “likes the city”.

NBA 2K16 Free Weekend Coming For Xbox Live Gold Members

NBA 2K16 will be free to play for Xbox Live Gold member this coming weekend on Xbox One.

According to Xbox Wire, starting 9 am PT on Friday, November 20 and running through 11:59 pm PT on Sunday, November 22, hoops fans will have full access to NBA 2K16.

Players will have the chance to delve into the new and improved MyCareer mode, written and directed by Spike Lee (He Got Game, Do the Right Thing), in which you can create a player and work your way up through high school and college to play in the NBA.

Ezra Miller on How His Version of The Flash Is Different

Ezra Miller, who's set to star as The Flash in the DC Cinematic Universe, recently spoke about his take on the hero and how it will differ from Grant Gustin's portrayal of Barry Allen on The CW's popular TV series.

After pointing out the obvious fact that it he'll be playing The Flash on the big screen rather than television, Miller revealed that he hopes to offer a multi-dimensional take the character that explores his humanity.

"I’d like for it to be an exploration of a human being, a multi-dimensional human being, to speak," Miller told Entertainment Weekly. "I’d like the character to have many dimensions. But really, I’d like him to have the usual dimensions we know and love, and then some extra ones that are part of the amazing consideration of this superhero.

Teen Titans, New Suicide Squad, Aquaman Get New Writers

DC Comics has revealed the new creative teams for three of its ongoing titles: New Suicide Squad, Aquaman, and Teen Titans.

New Suicide Squad #17 will be written by Grayson and Batman Eternal's Tim Seeley, with illustrations by Juan Ferreyra (Gotham by Midnight, Batman Eternal).

Meanwhile, Aquaman #49 is being penned by Dan Abnett (Titans Hunt) with art by Vicente Cifuentes (Convergence: Justice League).

Finally, DC Comics revealed that Action Comics' Greg Park is writing Teen Titans #17, with illustrations by Noel Rodriguez (Red Hood and the Outlaws).

McConaughey Eyed For Stephen King’s The Dark Tower

Sony Pictures and MRC are reportedly eyeing Matthew McConaughey to star in the big-screen adaptation of Stephen King's The Dark Tower series.

Sources close to The Wrap are saying that "preliminary discussions" are taking place to put McConaughey in the cowboy boots of protagonist Roland Deschain, while Variety reports McConaughey will play sinister villain Walter Padick — aka the Man in Black. The former publication notes that while neither side has committed, both "are interested in striking a deal."

Vertigo Reveals New Horror Series The Dark and Bloody

Writer Shawn Aldridge (Vic Boone) and artist Scott Godlewski (Copperhead) will be debuting an all-new horror comic in early 2016.

Called The Dark and Bloody, the series takes place in a dry county in backwoods Kentucky. Seeking employment, a returned Iraq war vet named Iris Gentry turns to running moonshine with a former ranking officer while avoiding a dangerous, otherworldly presence threatening their lives.

"The inspiration came from my own childhood in Kentucky, local folklore like the Bell Witch, and Southern Gothic fiction," writer Shawn Aldridge said in a statement.

These LEGO Slippers Will Lessen the Pain of Stepping on LEGO Pieces

We all know the pain of stepping on a stray LEGO piece with bare feet. Luckily, LEGO has now commissioned a pair of padded anti-LEGO slippers that will considerably lessen the pain the next time you trod on one of its blocks.

The red-and-yellow slippers, which bear the LEGO logo over the toes, feature a heavily padded insole to cushion your feet. The slippers are rectangular so that they can fit onto left or right feet, reducing fumbling to put them on if you need to brave a LEGO-dotted hallway to get to the bathroom in the middle of the night.
