Monster High @ High School Story – (Freemium)
It's a crossover event for charity! (And Halloween-appropriate, too.) Pixelberry's High School Story app was already a major success on its own, pulling in hundreds of thousands of daily users since its debut a couple of years ago. The Monster High brand being applied to it is an all-new thing, and a perfect match for the game – you can now add Frankie Stein, Draculaura, Cleo De Nile and Clawdeen Wolf to your virtual high school. The characters aren't free, but the proceeds from sales of their in-app purchase are going to benefit Lady Gaga's Born This Way Foundation, which is an awesome and honorable way to refresh a game with new paid content. So check it out!

Remember Sony’s Awesome Kevin Butler Ad Campaign?
Kevin Butler, VP of re-igniting the Sony PlayStation brand, made a splash in 2009 as the star of the It Only Does Everything ad campaign.
Not only did he connect with consumers, Butler also arguably became one of the best marketing tools over the past decade in gaming. The middle-aged man made you laugh, drove a monster truck, lived with a golf-crazy family, competed with Major League Baseball stars and even started the Long Live Play campaign.
For two years, Butler was PlayStation. While the honeymoon didn't last forever—as evidenced by the Sony lawsuit against Butler for appearing in a Bridgestone ad with Mario Kart Wii—there's no doubt he left a huge mark on the marketing side of the industry. As such, let's look back at his greatest hits below.
Boy Convinces Parents to Buy GTA 5 using PowerPoint
In an attempt to convince his parents to buy him Grand Theft Auto V, a 13-year-old boy put together a very professional-looking PowerPoint presentation offering facts, graphs, compromises, and pointed reasons for why he should be able to play Rockstar's open-world game. Check it out for yourself in the slideshow below.
The post appeared on NeoGAF, along with the information that the boy had created three separate slides for the end of his presentation based on what his parent's response to the presentation was. As far as we can tell, he was successful in his campaign.
Grand Theft Auto V is the latest installment in Rockstar Games' long-running open world franchise. Read IGN's Grand Theft Auto V review to learn more about heists and doing crime in a first-person perspective.

Karen O Created Tomb Raider’s New Theme Song
Karen O, the lead singer of Yeah Yeah Yeahs, has created the theme song for Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics' upcoming action game Rise of the Tomb Raider.
According to Yahoo! News, the track, which is titled "I Shall Rise," will be featured at the end of the game, as well as in upcoming promotional material. Karen O is joined by guitarist David Pajo in the song.
"I think they wanted to bring on the melodrama with this song," Karen O said in a recent interview. "They wanted something emotional with a dramatic build. It's kind of the theme of Lara's creation myth, the moment that defines her becoming an icon. It was really juicy stuff for me. I'm really into making melodramatic songs."
J.J. Abrams Dodges George Lucas’s Star Wars Question
J.J. Abrams is keeping details about Star Wars: The Force Awakens tightly under wraps, so much so that he won't even answer George Lucas's questions about the upcoming movie, to hilarious results.
In an new video from Vanity Fair, Abrams answers questions recorded by various celebrities, including Lee Daniels, Jared Leto and the cast of Silicon Valley. Some of the questions are more sincere than others, and Abrams is a good sport about all of them, especially when it comes to remaining Lost mysteries.
