Gambit Movie Eying Iron Man 3 Director

20th Century Fox is currently looking to Iron Man 3's Shane Black and Attack the Block's Joe Cornish as potential candidates to helm Gambit, a new report suggests.

Just a few days ago, we heard Bourne Identity's Doug Liman was being eyed to direct the upcoming X-Men spin-off, but now, according to Heroic Hollywood, Liman is joined by Black and Cornish as one of three contenders.

While Cornish hasn't yet directed a superhero film, he was involved in an early version of the screenplay for this year's Ant-Man. Meanwhile, Black, who is currently in post production on The Nice Guys, has already cut his comic book teeth on the incredibly successful Iron Man 3.

With close to 7 million subscribers and over 900 million lifetime views, Lilly Singh is an established brand on YouTube. The 27-year-old is a comedian, vlogger, rapper and motivational speaker, and in 2015 she set out to become a filmmaker when she decided to make a documentary about of her world tour, A Trip to Unicorn Island.

Though she had several parties interested in releasing the project, Singh ultimately returned to YouTube for its distribution. Our interview took place after the company announced it would be launching the pay-to-use content service YouTube Red, and revealed that A Trip to Unicorn Island would be among the first pieces of original content available to users. Crimson Peak: Why It Might Not Open in China

Gothic romance film Crimson Peak may have trouble making it to China thanks to the country's "no ghost" rule.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, China censors films that "promote cults or superstition." The supernatural elements in Crimson Peak may not adhere to the rules of Chinese cinema.

Some filmmakers employ tactics such as revealing ghosts as hallucinations or bad dreams at the end of the movie to get around the guidelines.

There is no word yet on what China will decide. It is hoped that Crimson Peak can make up for a lackluster performance at the domestic box office by doing well in China, an increasingly vital movie market.
