Sherlock Special: New Trailer and Airdate Revealed
A new trailer for Sherlock's Victorian-era "Christmas-ish" special has arrived, complete with the U.S. premiere date of Friday, January 1st at 9/8c on Masterpiece on PBS - the same day it airs in the U.K.
Here you'll see Benedict Cumberbatch as a less rude Holmes and Martin Freeman as a more uptight Watson (said creator Steven Moffat) in a one-off, "through the looking glass"-style mystery adventure, Sherlock: The Abominable Bride.

The Player Order Reduced to 9 Episodes
The episode order for NBC's The Player has been cut from its initial 13 episodes down to just nine.
According to TheWrap's report, the Thursday night drama staring Wesley Snipes has struggled to gain traction, debuting to an underwhelming 1.2 rating and slipping even further to 0.7 for its latest episode, with a total viewer count of 4 million.
While NBC isn't completely pulling it from the schedule and seems set to air all nine produced episodes, this is essentially the network's way of canceling the show. New series hope to get a a back-nine order, bringing them to a full 22-episodes, but since The Player isn't even completing its initial 13, the writing is pretty much on the wall for the struggling show.
Why Jessica Jones Will (Probably) Be Better Than Daredevil
Marvel’s Daredevil show on Netflix enjoyed quite a bit of praise from fans and critics when it debuted in April of this year, giving ol’ Horn Head the same dark, violent, and smart story that made him so beloved in the comics. But for their follow-up, Marvel isn’t showcasing another costumed hero, they’re going with Jessica Jones, a character that might even make some comic fans go, “Who?” Rest easy, because if her upcoming Netflix show is as good as her comic, then it will be even better than Daredevil.
Not that Daredevil is low in quality by any stretch of the imagination. Jessica Jones will have to be pretty darn good to top it, but I have a feeling that it will because the source material -- Alias by Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Gaydos -- is one of the best comic books I’ve ever read.

Oxenfree Release Window Revealed
Supernatural adventure game Oxenfree is coming to Xbox One and Windows 10 in January 2016, Night School Studio and Microsoft announced today.
The idea of Oxenfree is to "play a coming of age story where you determine how the protagonist comes of age. Then set it all against a ghost story," studio co-founder Sean Krankel said in an interview with Xbox Wire. "It's like Freaks & Geeks set against this super-f***ed-up phenomena,” Krankel told IGN earlier this year.
Oxenfree is the first game from Night School Studio, which is headed up by ex-Telltale and ex-Disney developers. The voice cast includes Erin Yvette (The Wolf Among Us, Tales from the Borderlands) and Gavin Hammon (The Walking Dead, The Wolf Among Us).
You Should Be Watching You’re the Worst
The television landscape is currently an embarrassment of riches, with more quality TV on the air (and streaming!) than any person can reasonably keep up with. That's why it might have been easy to miss You're the Worst, an ensemble comedy set in Los Angeles that premiered on FX last year and made the move to FXX for Season 2.
I was late to the first season -- again, too much TV, too little time -- but I binge-watched the first seven episodes in one night to catch up and immediately became enamored with the misadventures of Jimmy (Chris Geere), Gretchen (Aya Cash), Lindsay (Kether Donohue) and Edgar (Desmin Borges). You're the Worst was initially billed as a raunchy relationship comedy about terrible people who are perfect for each other, and there's some of that in the pilot, but You're the Worst quickly evolved into something much more special. Yes, Jimmy and Gretchen can be monsters -- he took dick pics on every camera at his ex's wedding, and she stole a blender from the wedding's gift table (and threw it in the bushes when she found out it's not a food processor) -- but everyone has those dark impulses in them, and their "worst" qualities quickly become what makes them so endearing.
Is Wonder Woman the Thor of the DC Movies?
A new report that allegedly includes plot details on the movie also describes Wonder Woman as being the Thor of the DC Extended Universe (that's what Warner Bros. is calling their DC version of the Marvel Cinematic Universe).
According to JoBlo, the Wonder Woman movie -- which begins filming next month in the UK under the direction of Patty Jenkins -- will include mythological elements and fantastical creatures not unlike the Thor films.
If you don't want to know any possible SPOILERS from the movie, best to skip past the following plot rumors posted after this video.
