Driveclub Bikes Available Now

As a ratings board recently suggested, Sony announced Driveclub Bikes during its Paris Games Week conference today. The update includes a new Tour, new skill events, and new challenges across all 78 Driveclub locations. Bikes from Ducati, Yamaha, and Honda are all confirmed to appear in the expansion.

Bikes are available as an expansion pack for Driveclub, or as a standalone release. In a surprise move, Sony announced that Driveclub Bikes is launching today.

Driveclub originally launched in October 2014, though developer Evolution Studios later admitted it was "embarrassed" by the issues that plagued the game's launch. As of late July, Sony said two million copies of Driveclub had been sold to date.

Housemarque, developer of Resogun and the upcoming Alienation, has announced Matterfall.

Check out the reveal trailer above.

The cinematic trailer showcased a bunch of cool-looking space ninjas in a futuristic city fighting waves of aliens that seemed to be comprised of red voxels. Though the trailer showed a bunch of action, it didn't tell us what time of game Matterfall would be.

According to Housemarque, "Matterfall follows an unexpected hero in a ravished sci-fi setting. Crystalline shapes that are summoned mid-air are a staple of technology in this world and you must overcome an ever expanding threat that might have already seeped too far into the core of humanity itself."

Boundless: A PlayStation 4 Adventure Coming in 2016

During its press conference at Paris Games Week today, Sony revealed Boundless, an odd first-person adventure game that's console exclusive to PlayStation 4 in 2016.

The debut trailer showed a character wielding a hammer exploring strange worlds, walking through portals to enter new and different places, before ascending a very Minecraft-like floating structure constructed from cubes. Other worlds showed simple homes, dinosaurs, gigantic valleys, and more.

The Flash: Get Ready for “The Fury of Firestorm”

This week’s episode of The Flash is called “The Fury of Firestorm.” As the title hints, the issues facing Dr. Stein (Victor Garber) are at the forefront, as Barry Allen and his team search for a new match for their ailing friend, who has been showing increasing physical side effects since the death of his “other half”, Ronnie Raymond.

“The Fury of Firestorm” introduces Jefferson "Jax" Jackson (Attack the Block’s Franz Drameh), who will be a part of the upcoming spinoff, Legends of Tomorrow (as will Garber). However, while Jax seems like a candidate to merge with Stein to become Firestorm, Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) has some notable reservations.

Verizon Approaches FCC for Wi-Fi Call Approval

Verizon has petitioned the Federal Communications Commission for a waiver granting the company the ability to implement a Wi-Fi calling feature.

The petition follows the same format as AT&T's recent complaint that T-Mobile and Sprint were offering the service without permission.

The FCC granted a waiver to AT&T in that case, so now Verizon is hoping it will be granted the same privileges.

Wi-Fi calls allow users to make standard phone calls over a Wi-Fi connection, rather than a normal phone network. You cannot make emergency calls using the feature, however.
