Greg Capullo Talks Leaving Batman for Mark Millar
Artist Greg Capullo made waves recently when he announced that he will be taking a break from drawing Batman at DC Comics in order to do a creator-owned project with writer Mark Millar. We hopped on the phone to talk about why now was the time to leave Batman, why he wants to work with Mark Millar, and what he will be doing when he returns to DC (he hints it might not be Batman).
Also, we are excited to announce that Capullo will be making his first-ever appearance at next year's C2E2, Chicago's biggest pop entertainment convention, from March 18-20.
IGN Comics: So you'll be going to C2E2 next year?
Greg Capullo: Yep, first time. Yeah.
Ash vs Evil Dead Renewed for Season 2
Ash vs Evil Dead will be getting a second season, as Starz has announced an early renewal for its follow-up series to The Evil Dead, several days before the show's debut.
According to the network, the overwhelming demand and interest from fans for the show's Halloween premiere has resulted in its decision to commit early to a Season 2.
"One season isn’t enough to satisfy the fans’ two decade-long appetite for more Ash," Starz managing director Carmi Zlotnik said. “The early fan and press support, along with the international broadcaster demand for more story have made it clear that the adventures of Ash Williams can’t end with season one."
The original crew behind The Evil Dead, including Sam Raimi, Rob Tapert, and Bruce Campbell, are all on board to return as executive producers alongside showrunner Craig DiGregorio. Naturally, Campbell will be back to reprise his leading role as Ash Williams, and Lucy Lawless is on board to return as Ruby.

Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets is based on the sci-fi graphic novel by Pierre Christin and Jean-Claude Mezieres, and centers around time travel in the 28th century.

The first features Will Smith as Deadshot, decked out in his full assassin gear. In the featured interview, Smith reveals that training for Deadshot was harder than many of his previous roles.

Until Dawn: Rush of Blood Isn’t Your Typical On-Rails Shooter
“When you say ‘on-rails-shooter’ people roll their eyes.”
Executive Producer Simon Harris is talking while wiping my sweat off a Playstation VR headset. I just finished playing seven minutes of his new game, Until Dawn: Rush of Blood.
It’s funny that he mentions people rolling their eyes because less than 24 hours before this, I was sat in Sony’s Paris Games Week conference rolling my eyes as Rush of Blood was announced as one of Sony’s new virtual reality experiences. Here’s a studio that created one of the best horror games in recent years, Until Dawn, now busying themselves with something as antiquated as as on-rails shooter. This, however, is exactly where Harris and his studio Supermassive Games want us.
