The Flash: What to Expect From Zoom, Jay Garrick and More
Following a tremendously well received first season, The Flash is back on Tuesday for Season 2. Per usual for this series, a key element is that things move fast, both where the main character is concerned and in plotting, and Season 2 will be introducing a ton of new elements from the comic books.
I sat down with The Flash’s showrunner, executive producer Gabrielle Stanton, to talk about what’s to come in Season 2, including Jay Garrick, Zoom, Wally West, Earth 2 and more.
IGN: You’re bringing in Jay Garrick. How will Barry react to someone who is a counterpart in such a way?
Gabrielle Stanton: We definitely have a spin on him. He’s going to be, kind of in that classic Jay Garrick way, a little bit older. He’s a little bit more of the Flash that you expected from the comic book. Our Barry is a young Barry, a little bit geekier. He’s going to kind of play mentor a little bit to Barry this season. He’s going to have seen a little bit more, done a little bit more and as Barry is understanding his powers and what he can do, Jay’s going to be there to mentor him and teach him the next steps toward becoming an even better Flash.

Why You’ll Definitely Want to Play Rainbow Six Siege
What number comes before 300? 299?! You couldn't be more wrong. It's obviously 299.5 which is why this episode is called that ahead of next week's podcast 300 extravaganza.
This week's show features one of our favourite directors, George Miller, talking about our favourite films like Mad Max, Mad Max: Fury Road (out on bluray October 5th) and Happy Feet. You can also find out who the most famous person Krupa, Gav and Rory have almost been sick on.
As if that wasn't enough you can also win an amazing first edition of The Martian novel signed by author Andy Weir and this guy Ridley Scott who likes to muck about with films now and again.
Podcast 300 will go live on Monday the 12th of October but if you're coming along we can't wait to see you and apologise in advance for anything that Tilly says.
NBA 2K16 Sales Figures Revealed
2K Games has announced it's sold-in over 4 million copies of NBA 2K16 within the first week of the game's release.
It's important to note this doesn't mean 4 million copies of the game are now in the hands of players - instead it indicates how many copies have been picked up by retailers.
While this doesn't provide quite the indication of the series' popularity as it could do, it's still an incredibly impressive achievement, and is the shortest space of time in which an entry in the series has managed to hit such a large milestone. NBA 2K16 also saw digital sales double compared with last year.
The IGN review of NBA 2K16 thought it was amazing, finding that it was a leap forward in defensive AI, online stability, and overall polish, resulting in one of the most complete packages we've ever seen.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #50 Preview
We are excited to reveal your first look inside the landmark Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #50 by writers Tom Waltz and TMNT creator Kevin Eastman and artist Mateus Santolouco.
IDW Publishing’s TMNT series has been amazingly strong since its debut four years ago, taking the series back to its grittier roots and reinventing the mythology in dramatic and exciting ways. The series explains why the Turtles went from red masks to multi-colored ones, the real reason Raphael is a loner, and more. There’s also our favorite storyline where Leonardo goes to the dark side and becomes a Foot Soldier for Shredder.
Now, with the loss of one of the Turtles stirring a fire within them, the team is poised to take on Shredder’s goons before battling the big bad himself. And what fun would that be unless the fate of New York City -- and the world! -- were at stake?

Lionsgate to Develop Kingkiller Chronicle Movies, TV, and Games
Lionsgate has picked up the rights to Patrick Rothfuss' fantasy book series The Kingkiller Chronicle.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the deal includes the simultaneous development of movies, television series, and video games. Lionsgate saw off interest from the likes of Warner Bros. and MGM.
"Honestly, I've never been very interested in a straight-up movie deal,” said author Patrick Rothfuss. “But Lionsgate was willing to work out something different, a multiplatform deal where they develop the films, TV series, and games simultaneously. That will give us the screen time to develop the characters and show off the world."
Rise of the Tomb Raider Season Pass Spotted on Amazon
A Season Pass for Rise of the Tomb Raider has surfaced on Amazon for $29.99 ahead of an official announcement.
Though the listing doesn't offer specific details about the content, it does seem some single-player story content will be contained judging by the wording.
"The Season Pass for Rise of the Tomb Raider includes a range of content that will extend your single-player campaign, and also allow you to compete with friends," it reads.
What's interesting is the fact we've heard multiplayer was being largely cut from Rise of the Tomb Raider so the team could focus on the single-player aspect of the game. Despite this, the contents of the Season Pass do seem to suggest there will be some form of competitive multiplayer, perhaps in the form of leaderboards.
