343 Provides Fresh Look at Halo 5’s New Vehicle Designs

Halo 5: Guardians developer 343 Industries has released a batch of new images, showcasing the aesthetc changes made to the Covenant vehicles seen in its upcoming Xbox One-exclusive shooter.

Black Ops 3 Has a ‘Realistic’ Difficulty Mode

Call of Duty: Black Ops III reportedly contains a "Realistic" difficulty mode, serving as the hardest way to play the shooter.

Exophase has the trophy list for Black Ops III, which reveals the new hard mode for Treyarch's upcoming game. One trophy is even called No One Will Believe You, awarded for beating the shooter on Realistic.

This will mark the first time in the Call of Duty series that Veteran isn't the hardest setting. The other modes, in order of ascending difficulty, are Recruit, Regular and Hardened.

The Realistic option most likely won't show up in Black Ops III for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, since the shooter won't have a campaign on those platforms.

Vikings: Bjorn and Torvi Deleted Scene

Vikings: Season 3 will be released on Blu-ray and DVD on Tuesday, and IGN has an exclusive deleted scene from the home video release. In it, Bjorn (Alexander Ludwig) and Torvi (Georgia Hirst) have a conversation that begins a major change in their relationship.

The scene from Season 3 shows Ragnar Lothbrok's son and Erlender's wife crossing paths after they each tried to find a moment of privacy. During their conversation, Bjorn and Torvi lament their relationship troubles, with Torvi noting that it is sometimes easier not to love at all.

"But who wants that?" Bjorn asks her. Torvi responds, "I don't."

Vikings: Season 3 comes out on Blu-ray and DVD on October 6th.

Assassin’s Creed Syndicate File Size Revealed

The file size of Assassin's Creed Syndicate has been revealed, clocking in at just over 40 GB for those on Xbox One.

According to Xbox Store's official product page, Assassin's Creed Syndicate weighs in at 40.27 GB. Meanwhile, Assassin's Creed Syndicate's listing on the PlayStation Store has yet to indicate the game's file size for PS4.

Assassin's Creed Syndicate is slated for release on October 23 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game will be coming the PC the following month, on November 19.

Star Wars Battlefront Won’t Have Microtransactions

Star Wars Battlefront will not feature a microtransaction system, according to developer DICE. In an interview with GameSpot, Battlefront Design Director Niklas Fegraeus said, "The credits that you use to buy things in the game are earned. You play the game, complete challenges, and that's how you get credits."

Fegraeus clarified that earning in-game currency by playing matches and completing challenges, and that's it. Paying for upgrades or currency is "not part of the core design of how it works," he said. "This is a progression system based on your gameplay performance."

New Vinyl Trailer Debuts

HBO released an all-new trailer for their upcoming '70s music scene series, Vinyl, from producers Martin Scorsese and Mick Jagger.

Created by Boardwalk Empire's Terence Winter, and starring Boardwalk's Bobby Cannavale, Vinyl is set in 1970s New York and features a ride through the sex and drug-addled music business at the dawn of punk, disco, and hip-hop as seen through the eyes of a record label president, Richie Finestra (Cannavale), who is trying to save his company and his soul without destroying everyone in his path.

Vinyl also stars Olivia Wilde, Ray Romano, Ato Essandoh, Max Casella, P.J. Byrne, J.C. MacKenzie, Birgitte Hjort Sørensen, Juno Temple, Jack Quaid, James Jagger and Paul Ben-Victor.

Konami May Be Making Metal Gear Pachinko

The Metal Gear Solid franchise may be coming to pachinko, if a new trademark filed by Konami Parlor Entertainment (KPE) is any indication.

First spotted by Kotaku, Konami has filed a "Big Boss" trademark in specific relation to video games and board games, as well as smartphone games, medal games, slot machines, and pachinko machines. The following image was included in the trademark filing.
