9 Things You Probably Didn’t Know About Master Chief
Did you know that the Master Chief is a teamkiller? Or that he had a secret enemy stalking him throughout the first Halo game?
We have played as the Chief in Halo games for almost 14 years, but if you haven't checked out Halo's expanded universe, there's a lot of stuff you don't know about the guy in green.
Some of it is pretty messed up.
We're breaking down nine things you probably didn't know about Master Chief, using Halo: The Fall of Reach, The Flood, and First Strike. Let's jump in.
Master Chief was born in year 2511. Halo: Combat Evolved begins in 2552, meaning John is over 40 years old at the start of his adventure – a good 10 to 15 years older than many popular action heroes.
More iZombie and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend Scripts Ordered
CW has ordered additional scripts for two of its 2015-16 series, increasing the chances that they'll get full 22-episode orders for the season.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the network has ordered five additional back-up scripts each for Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and iZombie, with the news coming ahead of the 2015-16 debuts for each series.
Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, starring Rachel Bloom, is set to make its debut on October 12. The hour-long comedy was ordered straight-to-series based on a half-hour pilot originally made for Showtime that the cable network passed on. Like most new series, it has an initial 13-episode order.

More Photos of Jay Garrick in The Flash
The CW has released new photos of Jay Garrick (Teddy Sears), who's set to debut in The Flash's second season.
Garrick, DC Comics' original comic book version of the Flash, who hails from Earth-2, will appear in Season 2's second episode (that's a lot of 2s!) to warn S.T.A.R. Labs about the impending arrival of Zoom and his plans to destroy Barry Allen (Grant Gustin). Also debuting in the same episode -- and seen in the gallery below -- is another DC Comics character, Patty Spivot, played by Shantel VanSanten, introduced as a determined police detective who wants to join Joe West's meta-human task force..

Everything You Need to Know About Transformers: Devastation
Capturing the look and feel of a franchise is one of the many challenges facing any licensed game, but Transformers: Devastation looks like it's going to do just that. The cel-shaded Transformers game made by Bayonetta 2 developer PlatinumGames looks quite literally like the cartoon upon which it's based. The Activision-published game is coming out during the first week of October, which means now is the perfect time to catch yourself up on everything we know about Transformers: Devastation.
At the beginning of June of 2015, PlatinumGames said it had a new game to reveal to the world at E3 that month. Of course, details were limited to the existence of a new game, made by PlatinumGames, and that was pretty much it, but it was enough to get people excited.

George Miller Turned Down Live-Action Akira Film
Mad Max: Fury Road director George Miller has turned down helming the live-action Akira film.
Miller told Yahoo! Movies that while he was in talks for the Warner Bros. movie, he is no longer involved with the project.
"There was talk of it," he said, "But I’ve got so many things on my dance card, I don’t have the time to do everything."
He also debunked reports that he'd cited Akira as an influence on Fury Road.
"I don't know where that came from," he said. "I’m a huge fan of anime and the precision of that and to some degree Manga, even though I don’t read Japanese, but just the aesthetic of it. So Akira might have been one of the many movies but it certainly wasn’t one that directly influenced Mad Max."
The Flash: Seth Grahame-Smith May Direct DC Movie
The upcoming The Flash film has reportedly found its director in Seth Grahame-Smith, the author of Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter and Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Grahame-Smith is currently in negotiations to write and direct the movie based on the DC property. Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, who wrote the treatment for the film, were thought to be on-deck to script and direct the movie, but instead will be directing the upcoming stand-alone Han Solo movie.
