The Marvel Universe Gets a Hip-Hop Makeover
Marvel Comics has revealed the full lineup of hip-hop variant covers planned for October. This new promotion comes during an already busy month, as Marvel wraps up Secret Wars and introduces the first wave of new comics making up their "All-New, All-Different Marvel" relaunch. Each of these variant covers features an artist reinterpreting a famous hi-hop album cover with a distinctly Marvel twist.
Check out our gallery of all these covers below:
This isn't the first time Marvel has published hip-hop-themed variant covers. Earlier this year, variants for Howard the Duck #2 and Deadpool #45 paid homage to hip-hop duo Run the Jewels. This particular promotion has gathered both praise and controversy in recent weeks, with some accusing Marvel of cultural appropriation or criticizing the company's lack of minority creators.
Grand Theft Auto 5 Has Now Sold 54 Million Copies
Take-Two Interactive posted its earnings report for the first quarter of its fiscal year and revealed that Grand Theft Auto V has now sold 54 million copies across all platforms.
Reporting "strong financial results," Take-Two saw its non-GAAP net revenue grow by 142% to $366.4 million USD, compared to $151.6 million for the same period the year before.
The numbers given for Grand Theft Auto V are for sold-in, rather than sold-through, copies of the game. Sold-in means sold to retailers, as opposed to sold through, which represents the final sale to consumers. The 54 million units is an increase of just two million over the previous quarter. In February, Take-Two reported Grand Theft Auto V had sold 52 million copies over its lifetime, an increase of seven million over the fiscal quarter previous.
Update Lets Users Replace Google Now With Cortana for Android
There's an update to Cortana for Android that finally lets users do one simple thing: make it the default assistant instead of Google Now.
Microsoft began its private beta for Cortana for Android last month, and while it came with all the features it has on Windows Phone, users couldn't assign it to the the home button shortcut, as the built in Google Now assistant was permanently set to be the primary assistant. According to Microsoft-News, however, Microsoft has since updated Cortana to version 1.0.0.204, giving it the ability to completely replace Google Now.
Who Is Bill Murray Playing in Ghostbusters Reboot?
We now know that Bill Murray will indeed be in the new Ghostbusters movie. But he will NOT be reprising his original Ghostbusters character, Dr. Peter Venkman.
So who is Murray playing in director Paul Feig's reboot, which is now filming in Boston?
Be advised of spoilers ahead for Murray's mystery role ...
According to Birth.Movies.Death., which claims to have read the script, Murray will portray one Martin Heis. The site describes Heis as "a professional supernatural debunker, a sort of an Amazing Randi type, who shows up and 'proves' the new Ghostbusters are fakes. It's a really tiny role, and it's sort of the mirror image of where we meet Peter Venkman at the start of Ghostbusters II."

Humans’ Season Finale is This Week’s TV Highlight
Summer TV's settled down a bit as we've finally come to a slow stretch here at the top of August. That is before AMC's Fear the Walking Dead drops next week and everyone goes nuts.
Our TV highlight this week is the Season 1 finale for AMC's Humans (which yes, already aired over in the UK for those watching on Channel 4). Will Leo, Mia, and the rest of the sentient Synths get destroyed by Hobb? What is his ultimate plan? And what will the Hawkins family do? Will they pull together in order to help their robot friends?
Person of Interest: No Decision on Whether it’s the Final Season Yet
It was certainly a blow to Person of Interest fans to learn that the series had received a smaller episode order for Season 5 (only 13) and that the premiere had been pushed to midseason. Did this mean cancellation was around the corner and that the fifth season would be the last?
CBS Entertainment head Nina Tassler made a few noncommittal remarks today during the TCA Press Tour about Person of Interest's future. “We haven’t determined if it’s the end of the series yet,” Tassler said.
“We don’t know those dates," she added. "We’re not anywhere near having to determine what that last storyline will be.”
Might CBS be able to decide whether or not the show ends with Season 5 before the end of the season's production? So as to give the writers and producers time to wrap up the story? “We’ll talk about it when we get there,” Tassler remarked.

Super Meat Boy 2 Could Still Happen
Nearly five years after Super Meat Boy creator Team Meat said "there won't ever be a Super Meat Boy 2," the notoriously challenging platformer could see a sequel after all.
Speaking to Game Informer, Team Meat's Edmund McMillen and Tommy Refenes actually found inspiration to make a proper Super Meat Boy sequel while working on their upcoming mobile autorunner Super Meat Boy Forever.
"There were aspects of Forever that were moves that Meat Boy did... that we were prototyping that felt like they could be better used in a sequel," said McMillen. "The future of Meat Boy is definitely up in the air, but a sequel is something that I wouldn't be opposed to doing even though we both said that we wouldn't do it."
