Fear the Walking Dead: When Will Alicia Learn the Truth?
Having dealt with apocalyptic situations – albeit in a very different environment – in The 100 as Lexa, Alycia Debnam-Carey is now facing the world ending via zombie outbreak in Fear the Walking Dead.
Shortly before the new spinoff/prequel series debuted last week – to record-breaking numbers – I spoke to the Australian actress about her character, Alicia, and how she’s dealing with the very beginning of a situation that is this extreme and shocking.

The 7 Best Summer Comedies
Can you feel it in the air? Summer is coming to a close. School is starting up again, that one last trip to the beach is in the works, and your secret Friday afternoon bourbons at the office are coming to an end (or is that last one just me?).
But take heart! For while the real-life summer is about to end, you can always live vicariously through the list of classic summer movie comedies that we’ve put together. Plenty of sun, sex, sports and more are to be had with these films, so sit back, slap on the sunscreen, and enjoy…
Richard Linklater's 1993 film is so effective in nailing a particular feeling from a particular time that I'm sure most of us have experienced in our lives. Of course, it's only barely a summer movie in that it takes place on the last day of school for a bunch of kids in Austin, Texas. That includes an ensemble of memorable characters played by the likes of -- among others -- Jason London, Wiley Wiggins, Rory Cochrane, Milla Jovovich, Parker Posey, Joey Lauren Adams, Ben Affleck, and -- representing the high-school hero contingent -- an unforgettable Matthew McConaughey. Linklater packs his film with all the key elements of a great summer comedy: lovable characters, fun hijinks, an awesome soundtrack, and sweet nostalgia.

Andrew Garfield Wanted Spider-Man to Go to Marvel
Andrew Garfield, who played Spider-Man for two films, says he was pushing for the character to go under the Marvel umbrella long before the deal was struck.
The actor told Uproxx that he's excited to see the Marvel take on Spider-Man, now that Sony and Marvel Studios have struck a deal to cross their universes. "I’ve been petitioning to hook up with Marvel since the beginning, so I’m really glad they’re finally doing it," he said. He also maintained that he was never in talks to continue as the character, but declined to say more.

"We were not able to get the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions to the quality expected of a Mortal Kombat game and are very sorry for not being able to deliver the products as originally planned," said Community Admin Yorick on WB Games' community blog.

Narcos: Season 1 Spoiler Discussion
This is a full-on spoiler discussion for those that have watched all 10 episodes of Netflix’s Narcos. For our spoiler-free review of the season, click here.
In my review of Narcos: Season 1, I mentioned that DEA Agents Murphy and Pena don’t have much in the way of an arc. While they make progress on the hunt for Escobar, my main issue was the fact that they don’t resolve anything with themselves or their loved ones.
Murphy and his wife are still stuck in Colombia. Pena is still alone, his affair with Elisa left untouched after she fled to Miami. In fact, they set up that whole scenario – Murphy and Pena aiding an M-19 fugitive – like a huge deal, but ultimately just cut it short and sweep it under the rug. And so, all we’re left with is “next time, we’re going to kill him,” which isn’t very far removed from where they began. If it wasn’t for all of the government B.S. standing between the Agents and Escobar, they would’ve killed him right off the bat.
