The Best Superhero Romances on TV

The good superhero stories are the ones that focus on more than just punching and colorful tights and explosions. We need to care about our heroes and their struggles in and out of the costume. Maybe that's why romance is such a major part of superhero TV shows these days. Whether it's Oliver Queen's abs having their way with half of Starling City in Arrow or poor Barry Allen pining after Iris West in The Flash, it's clear that heroes need love just like everyone else. And judging from the trailers for Supergirl, relationship drama is going to continue to be a major focus for these projects.

On that note, we've picked out our favorite superhero romances on TV, covering both live-action and animated projects. These are the romances that kept us tuning in every week and made our heroes that much more relatable.

Clint Hocking Returns to Ubisoft

Ubisoft has announced that Clint Hocking is returning to the company.

According to the Ubisoft blog, Hocking will join Ubisoft Toronto to work on unspecified projects but he made it clear he is not working on the next Splinter Cell.

“When I stopped working on Splinter Cell after Chaos Theory,” Hocking said, “the honest truth is I didn’t think I could make a better one.”

“I feel like I had made the very best Splinter Cell I could ever make and the best thing for me to do for Ubisoft and for Splinter Cell fans was to hand it off and let someone else try to figure out how to make that game differently or better and bring a new vision and a new flavor to it. Maybe one day, 5 or even 10 years from now, it will be the right time and the right place for me to make another Splinter Cell game, but that time is not now.”

Apple has invited members of the press to an event on September 9.

The company didn't clarify the topic of the event, but the invite (posted below) includes the phrase "Hey Siri, give us a hint." The date does point to Apple's traditional fall iPhone launch window, so it's reasonable to expect news on the iPhone 6S.

The 8 Greatest Blizzard Games

Blizzard Entertainment has been making video games since 1991, when it was founded by 3 UCLA graduates under the name Silicon & Synapse. But it wasn't until 1993 that the studio began truly making a mark on the world, when it began working on its own titles rather than ports for other developers. In fact, Blizzard has produced some of the most memorable, successful, and influential video games in the history of the medium. It wasn't easy, but below we have compiled our picks for the top 8 Blizzard games ever made:

This Week in the Nintendo eShop

Be sinful this week and pick up some running punishment. Wait, that came out wrong. Regardless, we have three dynamite games coming to Wii U. On Virtual Console, both Sin & Punishment games are out. Both are quite excellent. On the new side of things, there's Runbow, a Wii U eShop platformer that features tons of challenge and support for up to nine players. You can literally control your character with just a Nunchuk. It's crazy. If you're a little behind on your eShop games, some sales might help you out. Scram Kitty is a top-shelf Wii U eShop game from last year, and you can also check out some solid Atlus RPGs on discount, including Etrian Odyssey IV.
