X-Men Director Teases Storm Special Effects
X-Men: Apocalypse director Bryan Singer has revealed another new set photo.
The latest image posted to his Instagram account shows Storm, played by Alexandra Shipp, surveying Cairo, Egypt on a monitor with what appears to be storm clouds in the background (courtesy of visual effects).
Shipp can also be seen above the monitor, shooting in front of green screen in real-time.
This is just the latest in a string of images released in recent weeks. Recently, Singer posted a photo of the giant Egyptian set being used for the film, and teased a destroyed Cairo. New hi-res images of the stars of the X-Men sequel were also released recently, including images of Jean Grey (Game of Thrones' Sophie Turner), Jubilee (Lana Condor), and Cyclops (Tye Sheridan). Check them all out in the slideshow below:

HBO's Game of Thrones has added another cast member to the upcoming season six, and this one is a screen legend.

Prometheus 2 Reportedly Starts Filming This January
The sequel to Prometheus is reportedly gearing up to begin production at the start of next year.
During its interview with Alien and Prometheus director Ridley Scott, Total Film magazine let it drop that Prometheus 2 begins filming in January 2016. “I’ve got back into the sci-fi thing, I kind of adore it," Scott told the mag (via Scified).
Scott is producing both Prometheus 2 and Alien 5, the latter of which will be directed by District 9's Neill Blomkamp. The events of Alien 5 will reportedly take place after Prometheus 2 (the original Prometheus, you may recall, was a prequel to the first Scott-directed Alien).
Resident Evil 4 HD Mod Improves Textures on PC
Resident Evil has been getting a lot of HD love lately, with the Resident Evil HD Remaster, the announcement of Resident Evil Zero's upcoming HD remaster, and recent talk of Resident Evil 2 possibly getting a remake as well. Now, two modders are working on their own graphical improvements for the PC version of Resident Evil 4.
Check out the slideshow of improved textures below.
The mod is being made specifically for Resident Evil 4 Ultimate HD Edition, which launched on PC in 2014. An HD mod for an HD remaster may seem odd, but the modding duo Cris and Albert have their reasons.
"With the release of the Ultimate HD version, we have confirmation that while some textures have been upgraded, the majority haven’t," states the Resident Evil 4 HD Project's website. "It seems safe to say that an official 100% across-the-board HD revamp of the game isn’t coming anytime soon, so now is the time to do this."
Ron Perlman Doesn’t Want to Make Hellboy 3, But…
Ron Perlman would really rather not don the Hellboy getup again, but that doesn't mean he won't.
/Film reports Perlman has been pushing studios to make Hellboy 3, and explained why after a Television Critics Association panel for his new series Hand of God. He says there's a sense of obligation behind it, even if he doesn't enjoy the experience.
"Let me make the record clear," he said. "I don’t want to do Hellboy 3. It’s a pain in the ass to put that makeup on and take it off. But I feel we’re obligated to finish the story. That’s it. End of conversation."
He went on to explain why he's been so vocal, saying he's trying to force the conversation around it. "We’re in the business of moving mountains. Those of us who are used to working in mainstream film and television," he said. "Don’t come to me with details and problems. Just tell me how we move the mountain."
Some ISPs Claiming Net Neutrality Unlawful
A group of internet service providers, including AT&T and Verizon, filed a brief with the Federal Communications Commission arguing the recently passed "net neutrality" laws should be overturned.
The petition argues that under Title 47 of U.S. Code, Congress exempted broadband Internet access from the very common-carrier regulation under Title II of the Communications Act that the FCC claims give it the authority to enact net neutrality.
The fairly dense document argues that ISPs, and the services they provide, have no relation to "heavy-handed, public-utility-style regulation designed for 19th-century railroads and 1930s telephone monopolies," and broadband internet services provide information services rather than telecommunication services.
Beware Windows 10 Upgrade Scam Emails
If you get an email encouraging you to upgrade to Windows 10, take heed - some scam emails are promising download links to Microsoft's new OS, but are actually pushing malware onto unsuspecting PC users.
According to the Cisco blog, these emails may appear legit at first glance, originating from a microsoft.com email address with the blue-and-white colour scheme of Windows 10's branding. However, Cisco reveals that a quick look at the email header reveals that the message actually originates from IP address space allocated to Thailand.

Behold a Giant Minion on the Loose
A large inflatable Minion recently caused trouble for Irish motorists when it broke free of its restraints and completely blocked off a road.
Authorities were called, and the Minion was deflated and removed. An onlooker estimates the inflatable to be 30 to 40 feet high.
One car's mirror was damaged, but no other injuries were reported.
The Journal reports a local councilor is calling for an investigation into the incident to see if proper safety protocols were observed when the inflatable went up.
