Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons Coming Soon to PS4, Xbox One

Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons will be released digitally on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One August 12, 505 Games announced today. A retail release will follow on September 1 in the US and September 4 in Europe.

Announced earlier this year, the current-gen version of the twin-stick adventure game will include a director's commentary mode, soundtrack, and concept art gallery. A mobile version is also expected to be released this holiday season.

505 Games didn't announce a price for the current-gen version. However, it may be worth noting Brothers is currently $15 USD on available platforms.

Wii U’s ZombiU Coming to PS4, Xbox One, PC as Zombi

Zombi, an update to the Wii U exclusive ZombiU, has been announced for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

Today, Ubisoft announced the first-person survival horror game will release on August 18, 2015 and will be available via digital download only.

Zombi pits players in zombie infested London, as they must survive as long as possible without dying because death is permanent.

The game will be optimized for the latest consoles and PC.

A Zombi re-release was rumored to be in the works after the game was spotted on the Taiwanese Game Software Ratings board recently.

Endless Space 2 Announced

A teaser website has revealed Endless Space 2.

The website has a vague URL, but links to a cryptic teaser trailer for the game with the voice over saying: "What if I could begin again? I had reached perfect harmony before they came and destroyed everything. But sometimes you just need a single drop to change everything."

Also on the website are incentives for you to share the news via social media, with a Fan Kit, invitations for an early playtest session and an extra in-game faction as rewards.

Hard West is Coming to PC This Year

Developer CreativeForge and publisher Gambitious Digital have announced that Hard West will launch this Fall.

Hard West had a successful Kickstarter campaign, and will be coming to PC after making its press debut at Gamescom next week.

It follows the story of Warren in the frontier world of Hard West, and features tactical turn-based combat where you control a posse of 1-4 members. According to the press release, it "features a deep narrative of choice and fate, where the Luck of the Draw acts as your unique guardian."

Wet Hot American Summer’s “Serialized Comic Book Reality”

14 years after the release of the cult comedy film Wet Hot American Summer, the gang at Camp Firewood is back for the Netflix prequel series, Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp, debuting this Friday. Once again the brainchild of The State alum Michael Showalter and David Wain, the eight-episode series reunites the huge cast -- including Elizabeth Banks, H. Jon Benjamin, Michael Ian Black, Bradley Cooper, Janeane Garofalo, Nina Hellman, David Hyde Pierce, Joe Lo Truglio, Ken Marino, AD Miles, Christopher Meloni, Marguerite Moreau, Zak Orth, Amy Poehler, Paul Rudd, Marisa Ryan and Molly Shannon -- in a prequel set eight weeks before the movie.

This week, the day after Showalter took part in a TCA (Television Critics Association) press tour panel for Netflix showrunners – you’ll see that panel referenced a couple of times below – I spoke to the writer and actor, who also reprises his role as Coop in Wet Hot, about the appeal of Wet Hot American Summer, the approach he and Wain take with the material, making the schedules of the cast work and more – including why he thinks another installment of Wet Hot is very possible.

Becoming a Dad Brought Me Back to Nintendo

My wife and I welcomed our first son into the world on January 26th, 2014.  In the year and a half since his birth, we’ve encountered an endless list of unexpected events - both good and bad - that no one can prepare you for.  The avocado that gave him a skin rash, his insane fascination with cars, the first time he flung himself out of his crib, and the day he randomly decided to stand up and walk for the first time.  If you’re a parent, the combination of utter joy and pure fear surrounding these moments become oddly normal. Each event is life-changing, but there has been one change to my life that I didn’t see coming at all - after 23 years, I became a Nintendo fan again.

PS Plus: New ‘Vote to Play’ Feature Leaks Prematurely

Sony may be set to introduce a new feature allowing you to vote on games you'd like to see in each month's set of free PlayStation Plus titles.

NeoGAF user El_Cinefilo discovered a video while browsing the "What's New" section of his PS4 in the UK going into detail about a new "Vote to Play" feature.

According to the video, gamers will be given a choice of three games to choose between, and the one that receives the most votes will be offered free as part of PS Plus the following month, while the other two will be discounted.

Rocket League’s First DLC Coming Very Soon

The first downloadable content pack for Rocket League, entitled Supersonic Fury, is coming in early August.

Supersonic Fury includes two new Battle-Cars: The Dominus is an over-the-top American muscle car, and the Takumi is a Japanese street racer.

The DLC also includes two new rocket boosts called Nitrous and Burnout, two new wheel sets called Cristiano and Spinner, and five new paint types.

As well as Supersonic Fury, which costs $4 / €4, Psyonix is also releasing a free game update. This update adds the new map Utopia Coliseum, and more than 70 new country flags. Spectator mode is also being added, allowing you to watch games in real time from any camera angle.

Wasteland 2: Director’s Cut Confirmed for PS4 and Xbox One

A remastered version of Wasteland 2 is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One from October 13, 2015 in the Americas, and October 16, 2015 worldwide.

This "definitive" Director’s Cut edition of the post-apocalyptic RPG will feature "overhauled graphics, expanded voice-overs, gameplay enhancements & tweaks", including fully "redone character and level art", an enhanced lighting system and improved textures.

All major speaking parts, NPCs and weapon sounds have also been refreshed for the Director's Cut.

If you're at gamescom later this month, you'll be able to try it yourself. A playable demo will be available on the show floor, where you'll be able to sample the new gameplay features, including improved combat encounters, enhanced cutscenes and "all-new “Precision Strike” and “Perk & Traits” systems.
