Heroes of the Storm Getting Heaps of New Diablo 3 Content

Blizzard has announced the Eternal Conflict event for its arena brawler Heroes of the Storm - a series of map, hero and skin releases all themed around Diablo III.

Following on from the addition of Johanna the Crusader to Heroes' roster, the developer has announced a series of other Diablo-themed releases will be coming very soon.

The first of these is planned to hit the PTR on June 23 before enjoying a full release on June 30, barring any problems, and will see The Butcher from Diablo III added to the game as a melee assassin, with the Battlefield of Eternity map also coming.

Matt Damon Introduces The Martian’s Astronauts

Footgae from Ridley Scott’s new movie The Martian has appeared online, but it’s not a teaser or trailer, but rather an early piece of marketing that cleverly sets the movie up.

The Martian stars Matt Damon as astronaut/botanist Mark Watney, who is forced to fight for his life when he accidentally becomes stranded on Mars.

But this video is shot at the start of that fateful mission, introducing audiences to Watney's crew, which includes Melissa Lewis (Jessica Chastain), Rick Martinez (Michael Pena), Chris Beck (Sebastian Stan) Aleks Vogel (Aksel Hennie) and Beth Johanssen (Kate Mara).

Based on Andy Weir’s book of the same name, The Martian is set to hit screens this November.

Auro Expansion Appears on Kickstarter

Dinofarm Games has taken to Kickstarter with one goal: to help fund the development of expansion content for its turn-based tactics game, Auro.

Should the $32,000 Kickstarter receive funding, new additions to Auro include a quest mode, new monsters, new spells, and monster upgrades.

Here’s a breakdown of what’s on offer straight from the Kickstarter page:

  • Quest Mode - Quest Mode is kind of like an "Auro RPG", wherein you can explore the underworld, find hidden treasures, learn about character backstories, uncover secrets, and much more - all while embracing what's great about Auro's core gameplay.

Bloodstained Hits PlayStation Vita Stretch Goal

Bloodstained will be coming to PlayStation Vita.

"Once again, the Bloodstained backers have not failed us," states the most recent Kickstarter update. "We have hit the PS Vita stretch goal!"

Armature -- the company tasked to port Bloodstained to the Wii U and now the PS Vita -- has listed what it hopes to achieve in the Vita version:

  • Music Export – We thought it would be awesome to be able to export the game’s music to the Vita’s music library. So we’re going to do that.
  • PS4 Cross Save Support – Obviously, we’ll need to work with the PS4 dev team on this, but we’ve done cross save before and we’d love to do it again.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Gameplay Reveal Confirmed for E3

Square Enix has confirmed gameplay of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided will be shown as part of the company's E3 press conference.

The announcement was made on the game's Twitter account, and will likely be music to the ears of fans who've had to make do with an (albeit amazing) cinematic trailer until now.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is the sequel to Deus Ex: Human Revolution and set in 2029, two years after the events of the precursor game. Square Enix officially announced the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One title back in April, though a leak pointed to Adam Jensen's return before then.

Spy Debuts as Number 1 Movie; Entourage Opens Weak

While HBO hoped to win over audiences with a film revival of its popular show Entourage, it was competing comedy Spy that ruled the North American box office.

The Paul Feig-directed James Bond spoof, starring Melissa McCarthy, Jason Statham, Jude Law and Rose Byrne, took home $30 million. Spy eclipsed Entourage, which fell short of expectations with $10.4 million for the weekend and a five-day launch total of $17.8 million (it opened Wednesday), according to The Hollywood Reporter. It's likely that Warner Bros. and HBO Films hoped to mimic the success of the 2008 Sex and the City movie, which opened to $58 million.

Die-hard fans of NBC's Constantine have been clinging to the hope that the show would find life elsewhere after NBC cancelled it last month. There were rumblings that it might make a leap over to The CW, though CW's head Mark Pedowitz dismissed the idea as "just a rumor."

Constantine: Season 1 Review

Now Constantine EP Daniel Cerone has come forward with an official statement about the series, and it's not good. On Twitter, Cerone broke the news that the show was over and thanked fans for their continued support. Here's what he wrote...

Best GTA 5 Mods of the Week – Episode 5

It's been almost two months since Grand Theft Auto 5 came out on PC and modders are still finding ways to make the experience new, different, more exciting, or just plain stupid.

From grappling hooks to terrifying shark-dogs, here are our favorite Grand Theft Auto 5 mods of the week.

Los Santos turned Raccoon City? Not exactly. Still, if you feel the need to mow down the undead in Grand Theft Auto 5, there's always the Grand Theft Zombies mod from GTZDevs.

Take note, this is an extremely early version of the mod, so the zombies (which are really just clones of the Vinewood Zombie cosplayer) probably won't be as exciting as they should.

All mods have to start somewhere though, so it's one to keep an eye on if you're a zombie fan.
