EA Taking Star Wars Battlefront Alpha Applications
EA is accepting applications for alpha testers for Star Wars Battlefront.The process is currently open only to PC gamers and applications are submitted using EA's Origin service.
Following the link to apply at the official Star Wars Battlefront site will return a result instantly as to whether or not you've been accepted to help playtest the game.
If you sign in with an Origin account, hit the submission button, and discover you weren't selected, EA wants you to know there's still hope. EA wants you to subscribe to its newsletter "or follow our social channels to find out" more information on how you could play the game before its release.
NHL 16 Cover Athletes Revealed
Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane of the Stanley Cup-winning Chicago Blackhawks will grace the cover of NHL 16.
Toews and Kane will appear on the cover side by side, hoisting the Stanley Cup. Featuring two teammates and the Stanley Cup on the cover is a first for EA's long-running hockey franchise, and emphasizes NHL 16's tagline: "Play together. Win together."
This marks the second NHL cover appearance for both athletes; Kane was featured on the cover of NHL 10, while Toews was named cover athlete the following year for NHL 11.
FOX Fall Premiere Dates: Gotham, Minority Report, More
FOX has revealed the fall premiere dates for its 2015-2016 season, which includes Gotham, Minority Report, Scream Queens, and many more.
FOX's 2015-2016 seasons kicks off with the 67th Primetime Emmy Awards on Sunday, September 20 at 8pm ET, with host Andy Sanberg (Brooklyn Nine-Nine). Gotham's second season debuts the following day at 8pm ET/PT, followed by the series premiere of Minority Report, FOX's new futuristic crime drama based on the 2002 Steven Spielberg film.
The two-hour series premiere of Scream Queens, the new horror/comedy series from the creators of American Horror Story, will air on Tuesday, September 22 at 8pm ET/PT. Scream Queens will then move to its regular timeslot (9:00pm ET/PT) the following Tuesday.
Leto’s Joker Sent Live Rat, Dead Hog to Co-Stars
Oscar winner Jared Leto is really going all in on his performance as the Joker in Suicide Squad to the point that his co-stars are publicly commenting on his particularly Method actor ways.
Adam Beach, who plays Slipknot in the 2016 film, told E! News that Leto sent his cast mates very creepy gifts and messages during production. "Joker" sent Harley Quinn actress Margot Robbie a box containing a live rat and a love letter, while Deadshot star Will Smith received a letter with some bullets.
And what did the entire cast receive? Why, none other than a dead hog and a video that Leto recorded of himself in character as the Joker.

Pine, Quinto Sign on for Potential Star Trek 4
Paramount Pictures has renegotiated deals with Star Trek stars Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto to lock them down for a fourth film, should the studio decide to continue the series after Star Trek 3.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the pair of actors received sizable raises, with negotiations reportedly resulting in the Captain Kirk actor scoring a whopping $6 million.
It's important to note, however, that Paramount has yet to formally announce a fourth Trek film, as this deal is merely contractual matter to provide the studio the option to bring the actors back should the project get the green light.
Harry Potter Play Headed to London Stage Next Year
Harry Potter is making its way to the stage in the form of a new play titled Harry Potter and the Cursed Child next year.
In a post on Twitter, series creator J.K. Rowling announced that the play will make its debut at the Palace Theatre on London’s West End in 2016.
