EA Net Revenue for 2015 Tops $4.3 Billion

In its fourth-quarter financial report to investors, EA reported net revenue of $4.3 billion USD for its fiscal year. Over half of that revenue, $2.2 billion came from the digital products, a record for the company.

Revenue from digital products saw an increase of 25% year over year. Full game downloads, mobile, and subscriptions helped increase digital revenue but the lion's share belonged to the category "extra content," which saw revenue in Q4 of $265 million.

EA CEO Andrew Wilson called 2015 an "exceptional year" for the company. "We introduced award-winning games, delivered enduring entertainment in our live services, and forged deeper relationships with a growing global audience," all of which helped to push EA to be the number one publisher on both PS4 and Xbox One.

Secrets still exist on Marvel's Agents of SHIELD even though Coulson's team has rarely benefited from keeping them. "Scars," the final episode before the show's two-hour Season 2 finale, will see Coulson give up a secret he's been hiding from everyone. Perhaps he'll reveal what the Theta Protocol is all about? The last episode alluded to the fact that the Theta Protocol was code for calling in the Avengers, but that doesn't seem like that's all there is to it.

Besides the repercussions of whatever Coulson reveals, the team has to wrestle with the rising conflict between SHIELD and the Inhumans. Skye's loyalties are torn between the two groups. See a preview of what's ahead in the below photo gallery.

"I said, it would be great if we could just add a few more, if we could have a Captain Marvel there, that you’ve made a deal for. And they talked about it. I was like, ‘And Spider-Man, we could do that too, cause Sony had approached us during the first movie about a little integration," said Whedon. "So I would have put both of them in, but neither of the deals were made. And then they were like, ‘We’re making a Captain Marvel movie and we’ve got Spider-Man as a property,’ and I’m like, ‘I’ve already locked my film, you

Luckily, we're here to help make sense of this massive superhero epic. We've put together a guide that breaks down the premise of Secret Wars, the various factions involved, how it ties to previous comics to carry the "Secret Wars" name, and what you need to read to follow this storyline.

VR’s Future Depends on Defeating Motion Sickness, Says Chet Faliszek

Valve's Chet Faliszek says that VR's success will depend on defeating motion sickness.

Speaking at Iceland's virtual reality conference Slush Play, Faliszek's manifesto - as reported by GamesIndustry.biz - is simple: "Getting people sick isn't a choice."

Nausea is a common side-effect of playing VR games - but according to Faliszek, the problem can be solved if developers think outside the box.

"Telling people they will be okay 'Once you get your VR legs' is a wholly wrong idea," Faliszek said. "If people need to get used to it then that's failure. It has to run at 90 frames per second. Any lower and people feel sick."
