The Whispers: Why You Should Beware Imaginary Friends
Debuting this Monday, ABC’s new series The Whispers follows the mysterious events that occur when a group of children begin talking to an “imaginary friend” who is somehow real – and causing some very dark events to occur.
During a visit to the show’s Vancouver set last year, the show’s star, Lily Rabe (American Horror Story), remarked, “The precious and beautiful thing in the whole world is a child's imagination and you want to protect and cultivate that as a parent. I think that's a wonderful thing about this story. What is real to a child is something that you always want to believe in and lean into. But of course that can become dangerous.”
