Sons of Anarchy Creator’s New Show Gets a Season Order

The Bastard Executioner, the new series from Sons of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter, has gotten a full season order from FX.

Set in the late Middle Ages, The Bastard Executioner stars newcomer Lee Jones, True Blood's Stephen Moyer and Sons of Anarchy's Katey Sagal (who's also Sutter's wife). FX has ordered a 10-episode season of the period drama, which now has an official synopsis.

"A period drama, The Bastard Executioner tells the story of a warrior knight in King Edward I’s charge who is broken by the ravages of war and vows to lay down his sword. But when that violence finds him again he is forced to pick up the bloodiest sword of all."

Standing at 25 inches tall and with just 600 available in the world, the hand-painted polystone Dragonborn bust is a pretty impressive collector's item.

This thing isn't cheap, though. You can dish out $650 in one payment or commit to a 4 month plan where you pay in increments.

Captain America: Civil War Logo Revealed

The logo for Captain America: Civil War has been revealed.

In a post on Twitter, Jeremy Renner shared a photo that provides a behind-the-scenes look at the set, in which the Hawkeye actor is sitting in a chair with the film's logo printed across its back.


This third chapter in Marvel's Captain America film series is currently in production, and, earlier this week, a video featuring a fight between Captain America and Crossbones surfaced online.

Red Dead Developer’s Next Game Will Feature ‘Dynamic Multiplayer’

Rockstar San Diego, the studio that brought you last generation's hit open-world action game Red Dead Redemption, is working on a new title that will apparently feature "dynamic multiplayer" integrated within "all areas of gameplay."

Details on the developer's untiled project surfaced in a series of online job listings. In addition to the mention of multiplayer, Rockstar' job ads also note "open-world game elements" and "state-of-the-art visuals."

According to one specific listing for an animation programmer, this upcoming project will make its way to Xbox One and PlayStation 4, as both platforms are specifically mentioned in the ad.

Netflix Is Having ‘A Very Murray Christmas’

If you've ever wanted to spend the holidays with Bill Murray, this year you're getting your wish. A Very Murray Christmas is coming to Netflix.

The classic variety show throwback stars Bill Murray as himself, fretting over whether anyone will show up for his TV extravaganza, thanks to the snow storm gripping New York City. "Through luck and perseverance, guests arrive at the Carlyle hotel to help him; dancing and singing in holiday spirit," according to the release from Netflix.

A Very Murray Christmas reunites Murray with Sofia Coppola, who directed the actor in Lost in Translation. Coppola will handle the directing duties for the Christmas special, which was written by Coppola, Murray, and Mitch Glazer.

DC Teases Lex Luthor’s New Costume

Lex Luthor is joining a growing list of DC characters who are getting a major visual overhaul this summer. Luthor's new look was revealed in a preview for June's Batman/Superman #21, which was featured in Convergence: Justice League of America #2 this week.

While Luthor will be retaining the familiar green and purple color scheme that's been his hallmark for decades, it's clear the villain is opting for more of a street level approach. His traditional armor has been replaced by a trenchcoat, sunglasses and gauntlets. If anything, he seems to be taking fashion advice from Static of the Static Shock franchise.
