Nintendo Moving Past Super NES for Virtual Console?

It looks as though Nintendo might be moving its Virtual Console focus away from classic Super NES games as it works to bring more N64 games to the service.

According to a statement made to Engadget from Natsume, who was the North American publisher for SNES classics Harvest Moon and Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals, "Nintendo's interest has moved onto other classic systems."

The Natsume representative went on to explain that Virtual Console games are handled by Nintendo. "The publisher and Nintendo discuss which classic titles would be a good fit and have the best potential to sell," and the bulk of the work is handled by Nintendo.

Avatar Goes Global

While the wait for James Cameron's Avatar sequels may be a bit longer than fans had hoped, 20th Century Fox plans to tide moviegoers over with a Global Exhibition Tour that will bring a recreated Pandora to fans around the world in late 2016.

The studio will be partnering with Global Experience Specialists, Inc. to making this traveling exhibit a reality. Attendees will get to explore various aspects of the record-breaking sci-fi film, including a "multimedia journey" into the Alpha Centauri system, as well as a Bioluminescent Theater that recreates Pandora at night.

Cryptic Studios is hosting the first Double XP weekend for Neverwinter on Xbox One starting today.

Along with Double XP, Cryptic Studios has also turned on double Astral Diamonds, double refinement and double gems in the free-to-play MMO. There also are special sales in Neverwinter on Xbox One for the weekend, including 20-percent off change appearance tokens and 90-percent off character slots.

In addition, Cryptic Studios is offering 20-percent discounts on dragon race reroll bundles, idle companion slots and rename slots, among other items. The Double XP weekend in Neverwinter on Xbox One lasts until 10 a.m. PDT April 27.

Paid Skyrim Mod Accused of Stealing Assets

One of the first mods on sale in Valve's recently introduced paid mods program has been taken down.

Valve recently introduced paid mods to its Steam Workshop, starting first with The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim for its already sprawling community.

The content in question was a fishing mod that used assets from a second mod by separate creators.

It isn't uncommon for modders to require another creator's content for their own to function, but with money in the mix, things get a tad complicated.

After accusations of stealing and unfair profits were exchanged via the Steam Workshop forums, as saved by Destructoid, the fishing mod creator took the content down and issued refunds.
