Overkill ‘Welcomes Challenge’ From GTA Heists

PayDay developer Overkill is not worried about competition from other crime-based shooters as it prepares to launch PayDay 2: Crimewave Edition this June. The recent releases of Battlefield Hardline and heists for Grand Theft Auto V have made the genre all the more crowded, but Overkill is confident it will succeed.

"We’re not in a position any more where we have to be scared," Overkill producer Almir Listo told VG247 in a recent interview. "We have our community and we know what they want and this just makes the heists genre more popular."

New Mod Makes ArmA 3 Even More Challenging

Three notable ArmA III mod teams have worked together to create what they call "the most comprehensive and realistic gameplay experience" for the military first-person shooter.

Called ACE3, the mod will implement systems and mechanics meant to make the shooter more realistic and challenging than the base game.

Including realistic G-forces, realistic weapon heating, and combat deafness simulation, ACE3 will be open-source and the team will be open for community feedback. See the full list of changes below, and visit the official forums to see the team's entire post.

HBO Coming to Sling TV Ahead of Game of Thrones’ Season Premiere

HBO will be available on live television service Sling TV in time for the Game of Thrones Season 5 premiere on April 12. An exact launch date is expected to be announced soon.

The HBO package will cost $15 USD per month on top of Sling TV's $20 USD monthly fee. The package includes one HBO live channel, as well as the company's massive VOD library.

Sling TV's "Best of TV" core package includes channels such as ESPN, AMC, A&E, TNT, and more. The service recently came to Xbox One in North America, offering a 30-day free trial. Sling TV is also available on PC, Mac, iOS, Android, Amazon Fire TV/TV Stick, and current-gen Roku players/Roku TV Models.

The Differences Between Fire Emblem If: Black and White Kingdom

The new Fire Emblem 3DS game showcased during yesterday's Nintendo Direct will be sold as two separate versions in Japan, with no word yet on whether the Western launch will use the same model.

Fire Emblem If's official website details how the two versions, Fire Emblem If: Black Kingdom and Fire Emblem If: White Kingdom, will differ in story and difficulty.

According to Siliconera, experience points and money will be more plentiful in White Kingdom, making it the easier experience of the two games. Black Kingdom should offer more of a challenge due to the scarcity of resources.

You’ll Only Be Able to Get Greninja Amiibo at One Retailer

Another day, another retailer-exclusive amiibo is revealed. Greninja, the Pokemon who wears its tongue as a scarf, will only be available in amiibo-form at Toys R Us.

The folks at Amiibo News confirmed the exclusivity deal with a statement from Toys R Us. Tomorrow, the retailer will begin taking pre-orders for all the wave 4 amiibo not exclusive to other places, including Charizard, Wario, Pac-Man, Lucina, and Robin in addition to the exclusive Greninja.

So far, Ness was announced as only available at GameStop, and Jigglypuff is limited only to Target stores. Visiting the Target link for Jigglypuff reveals that the item is already sold out. GameStop's exclusive Ness figures will be available for pre-order beginning today at 2 pm ET, and you can either try your luck online or venture out into the real world and secure your pre-order at a physical location.

Binding of Isaac Is Coming to Wii U, Xbox One, and New 3DS

Those who have been patiently waiting to play The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth on Nintendo platforms or Xbox One don't have much longer to wait, as the game's creator has confirmed his twisted title will be made available to a wider audience in the near future.

In a post on Twitter, Edmund McMillen announced his hit indie title will be coming to New Nintendo 3DS, Wii U, and Xbox One "soonish."

This is What GTA 5 Looks Like Running at 60 fps on PC

Rockstar has released a brand new trailer for Grand Theft Auto V on PC, showing the title running at 60 frames-per-second.

First announced earlier this week, the new trailer is truly gorgeous. Check it out below:

Current gen hardware versions of the GTA V are running at 1080p, 30 fps, on both Xbox One and PS4, which means the PC version will run at a 100% greater framerate, which we can all safely assume will never be brought up by PC gamers in online arguments.

Quantum Break Delayed to 2016

Microsoft has announced Quantum Break will not release before next year.

A statement issued by the company claims the decision was made in order to avoid the end of 2015 being too crowded by Microsoft exclusives.

"We’ve got the strongest games lineup in Xbox history right now, with 2015 blockbuster exclusives like ‘Halo 5: Guardians,’ ‘Rise of the Tomb Raider,’ ‘Fable Legends,’ and ‘Forza Motorsport 6,’ and more we’ll announce in the coming months,” said Shannon Loftis, Head of Publishing. “With so many games launching this year, moving ‘Quantum Break’ to 2016 extends our incredible portfolio into next year with a monster new IP.”
