We Saw 2 Great Scenes From Mad Max: Fury Road
Warner Bros. gave attendees at Saturday's WonderCon a look at the upcoming Mad Max: Fury Road.
While no talent from the film was at the panel to promote Fury Road, the studio did show fans two extended scenes from the movie (which were previously shown at the South by Southwest film festival).
Be advised that SPOILERS from the scenes follow!
Max Rockatansky (Tom Hardy) wakes up in the desert, a metallic mask caging his face, chains attached to him as well as an IV tube. Disoriented and damaged, Max tracks the chain to its source: a crashed, souped-up car. He drags the corpse of the bald, pale-skinned driver out. Max's chain is shackled to the driver's wrist. After failing to break it off, Max finds a shotgun, holds it to the driver's manacled hand, and -- click. Nothing. The gun's jammed.

Here's the movie's official synopsis: "After the infamous San Andreas Fault finally gives, triggering a magnitude 9 earthquake in California, a search and rescue helicopter pilot (Dwayne Johnson) and his estranged wife (Carla Gugino) make their way together from Los Angeles to San Francisco to save their only daughter (Alexandra Daddario). GRRM Developing New HBO Series Captain Cosmos
Author George R.R. Martin isn't writing a Game of Thrones season 6 episode, but he is working on developing an entirely new show with HBO.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the potential series, Captain Cosmos, takes place in 1949 and revolves around a daring young science fiction writer who spends his time crafting stories no one else would attempt to write. Michael Cassutt (Z Nation) is attached to write the pilot.
Though still in the early stages, Captain Cosmos isn't expected to be a time-consuming project for Martin, who ducked out of several appearances to focus on The Winds of Winter, the sixth installment in the Song of Ice and Fire series. The novel won't be out this year, but fans can check out a second chapter from the book, posted on the author's website.
Eisenberg: Shaving Head for Lex Role ‘Terrifying’
Jesse Eisenberg, the actor who plays Lex Luthor in the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, shared a few thoughts on what it was like shaving his head for the role of the DC supervillain.
In an interview on a recent episode of Late Night with Seth Meyers, Eisenberg described the experience as "terrifying," noting that he'd never been bald before. As such, the experience left him feeling a bit vulnerable.
"It's really strange. It's the kind of thing where you feel like 'I can really damage myself.' You want to wear a helmet.... It's terrifying," he said.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is set to hit theaters on March 25, 2016. Reports suggest the first trailer for the film will debut before Mad Max: Fury Road.
Furious 7 Races Off With Record-Smashing Opening
As expected, Furious 7 absolutely dominated this weekend's box office, smashing records as it raced off with an estimated $143.6 million domestic debut.
Globally, the James Wan-directed sequel -- which was devastated by the death of lead actor Paul Walker during a break in production -- made an additional $240.4 million for a worldwide total opening weekend of $384 million.
This makes Furious 7's stunning debut a franchise-best opening weekend, the biggest April opening ever, the biggest Easter weekend opening ever, the second-largest pre-summer bow in history, and the biggest opening since The Hunger Games: Catching Fire in 2013. Furious 7 also received an A CinemaScore.

Orphan Black Cast Teases Project Castor and More from Season 3
Season 3 of Orphan Black premieres on April 18th, and the secrets surrounding the Dyad Institute, Project Leda, Topside, and Project Castor are deeper and more layered than ever. Co-creator Graeme Manson and cast members Jordan Gavaris (Felix), Dylan Bruce (Paul), Maria Doyle Kennedy (Mrs. S), Evelyne Brochu (Delphine), and Kristian Bruun (Donnie) hinted at what's ahead during a panel at WonderCon. Emphasis on the word hinted. Though they shared a handful of intense sneak peeks showing the future for Paul, Mrs. S, Delphine, Felix, Donnie and Alison, and more, Manson asked that everyone in the panel room refrain from sharing details and specifics shown in those clips. Suffice it to say, things aren't calming down for the Clone Club any time in the near future. Even when they get answers, further mysteries are uncovered and they'll continue to search for whoever is at the top pulling the strings. Relationships will be tested, tears will be shed, etc.
Marvel Answers Who Would Win, Star-Lord or Batman?
Marvel’s Next Big Thing Q&A panel kicked off with moderator Will Moss introducing the panelists: Greg Weisman (Star Wars: Kanan – The Last Padawan), Rick Remender (Uncanny Avengers, Avengers: Rage of Ultron), Sam Humphries (The Legendary Star-Lord), Cullen Bunn (Return of the Living Deadpool, Deadpool’s Secret Wars), and James Robinson (Fantastic Four, Age of Ultron vs. Marvel Zombies).
The first fan asked if there was an effort to differentiate between the Marvel comic characters and the movie characters. Moss said they always work together but also do their own thing. Humphries said he was free to do what he wanted on Star-Lord without anyone giving him any guidelines or screenplays to read in advance; he saw the Guardians of the Galaxy trailer when everyone else did. Remender said writers just like to write the characters they love, although Robert Downey, Jr.’s Iron Man has seeped in on how he and others now write that character.
