Get 25 Borderlands Golden Keys Right Now

To tide owners of the Borderlands: The Handsome Collection over until the loyalty rewards program is up and running, Gearbox is giving away a cache of golden keys.

Codes for the keys can be found on the Gearbox Facebook page and can be redeemed in-game on PS3, PS4, Vita, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PC, Mac, and Linux versions of the individual games. So basically, the codes work with all versions of Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. You don't need the Handsome Collection to redeem the codes.

Redeem the codes via the title screen of the respective game. You need to have a Shift account to redeem them. Once you enter in the (really long) codes, you'll be rewarded with 25 golden keys. The golden keys are used to unlock the golden chest in Sanctuary in Borderlands 2 and Concordia in the Pre-Sequel and reward you with rare loot.

Player Completes Fallout 3 in New Record Time

In the time it takes most of us to get ready in the morning, one speedrunner completed Bethesda's massive open-world RPG.

By clipping through walls and skipping over dialogue, Speedrunner Rydou beat Fallout 3 in 18 minutes and 53 seconds. Most players beat the game in 20-40 hours, while completionists can easily spend more than 60 hours in post-apocalyptic D.C.

Rydou also held the previous record of 18:57, while the second-fastest time is 19 minutes and 17 seconds –– that's a 24-second difference between the two leaders, while subsequent ranks are much closer in completion times, according to the leaderboard.

Security Vulnerability Places Android Users at Risk

Palo Alto Networks has discovered a serious security vulnerability within Android which could allow malicious parties to replace normal apps with malware during installation. As noted by PC World, close to half of all Android devices are affected, as only some hardware manufacturers have released patches to address the issue.

Android installer hijacking, as it's called, exploits APKs (Android application packages) during the installation of otherwise safe apps. When you download an app, the APK can be swapped in the background without anyone knowing, and the malware will live on your device gathering passwords and other sensitive data.

New Car Doesn’t Let You Speed

While we all clearly strive to obey those speed limit signs on the road (maybe), there's always the possibility you'll miss the sign and ruin your day with a hefty speeding ticket. But as CNN reports, Ford has just debuted a new piece of auto tech capable of reading speed limit signs and slowing the vehicle down.

The technology will first make its way to Ford's S-Max, a crossover minivan for the European market, but the technology will eventually expand worldwide. Outfitted with traffic sign reading sensors, the vehicle will reportedly control engine torque, reducing fuel to the engine and smoothly bringing the vehicle speed down to the posted limit.

Bloodborne’s Character Creator Yields Interesting Results

Like many other RPGs, Bloodborne has a fairly deep in-game character creation tool that allows for customization of everything from hair color to the height of an eyebrow ridge.

Many users treat character creation time as a sacrosanct ritual during which they breathe life into the hunter they'll spend the next several hours slaying demons with, obsessing over every detail.

And then, there's the ones who spend an equal amount of obsessive time creating...interesting - looking hunters.

Ranging from bespectacled characters with wavy mustaches to hunters who may need to visit Yharnam's plastic surgeon, check out these images of Bloodborne player characters, courtesy of NeoGAF and Reddit.

NASA Mars Rover Opportunity Ran a Marathon in 11 Years

Marathons are grueling events, pushing almost any human to their breaking point. But when you're completing the same distance on the surface of Mars, well that's something unique; even if you're a robot. As mentioned by The Verge, NASA's Opportunity rover has completed a 26.219 journey on the Red Planet in just over 11 months--a first of its kind.

While much of the attention on Mars exploration is now focused on Curiosity, it's easy to forget NASA placed two other rovers--Spirit and Opportunity--on the planet back in 2004. While Spirit has now gone dormant, the Opportunity rover is still soldiering on, outliving its life expectancy by more than 10 years. Still, something could go wrong at any moment.
