Better Call Saul: Star/Creators Spill on That Big Reveal!
Warning: Full spoilers for the first episode of Better Call Saul follow, as well as some hints about what's to come.
On Sunday February 8, AMC unveiled their Breaking Bad spinoff series Better Call Saul. With an overwhelmingly positive critical response ahead of the debut, audiences have now had their chance to weigh in on the story of how Jimmy McGill became the man known as Saul Goodman.
Breaking Bad fans have been wondering how this new series would tie into the world that had been previously created. Saul's premiere gave us two potential answers, and left us with several additional questions. We were able to speak with co-creators Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould as well as lead Bob Odenkirk about the episode's big reveals and what we can expect ahead.
ABC Bringing Back BattleBots This Summer
Twelve years after BattleBots ended their TV stint on Comedy Central, ABC is rebooting the show with a reimagined take on the killer robot combat sport.
The new series comes from Whalerock Industries and the creators of the original BattleBots franchise Ed Roski and Greg Munson. Like its predecessor, this new program will feature homemade robots duking it out in a single elimination tournament style format until one winner remains. The series will be made up of just six episodes and is expected to air this summer.
Jennifer Lawrence, Chris Pratt May Play Passengers
Oscar-winner Jennifer Lawrence and Guardians of the Galaxy's Chris Pratt are in "early talks" to star opposite each other in the intergalactic romance Passengers.
TheWrap reports that the film, set in the future aboard a spacecraft, follows a man (Pratt) who wakes up nearly a decade too early from his cryogenic sleep and decides to awaken a fellow female passenger to save himself from loneliness. Lawrence would play the female passenger, although her busy schedule might prevent her from signing on to the role. Morten Tyldum (The Imitation Game) is directing, while John Spaihts (Prometheus) penned the script.
SpongeBob Dethrones American Sniper at the Box Office
The long box office reign of American Sniper ended this weekend with the opening of The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water, which bowed in first place with an estimated $56 million. The TV toon icon's last feature film came out in 2004.
American Sniper dropped to second place with roughly $24.2 million. The Clint Eastwood-directed biopic's domestic total currently stands at $282.3 million.
The big, bad news at this weekend's box office came from the openings of Jupiter Ascending and Seventh Son, two delayed and costly genre flicks whose failures were an industry-wide foregone conclusion.
Agent Carter: Has Angie Guessed Peggy’s Secret?
On Marvel’s Agent Carter, Lyndsy Fonseca has quickly endeared herself to viewers as Angie, a friendly, vivacious waitress and aspiring actress who’s become a pal to Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell). I recently spoke to Fonseca about taking on the role and what it’s like joining the Marvel Universe.
Fonseca also discussed Angie’s perspective on Peggy and her response to fans hoping to see her fight again on the series, thanks to her experience with action scenes after four years on Nikita.

The Walking Dead Returns Tonight
As usual, The Walking Dead has been tragic. Events in the midseason finale have left Rick Grimes and the gang more downtrodden than usual and they seemingly have nowhere to go. Or do they? Season 5 picks back up tonight with "What Happened and What's Going On" and sees the group take a detour that may prove helpful as Rick and Noah set a course to follow Beth's last wishes.
See a couple photos from the episode as well as several new cast photos in the below gallery.

Everything You Need to Know About Better Call Saul
As a Breaking Bad spinoff/prequel, AMC's Better Call Saul has a built-in uphill climb. Not only does its entire conception (much like AMC's upcoming Walking Dead spinoff) smack of a network desperate to hold onto, and possibly spread thin, its hit properties after not being able to generate new hit dramas, but it's a spinoff of arguably the best TV show of all time. And given the amazing way Breaking Bad ended, one might wonder why someone would want to pull out any more Jenga blocks.
Better Call Saul Premiere Review
Fortunately, the same minds that gave us Breaking Bad are giving us this new prequel, which focuses on Bob Odenkirk's affably sleazy lawyer, Saul Goodman, years before his comic relief counsel/consigliere gig with Walter White. That being said, there's still a chance that this series might mar a near-perfect thing. And part of our excitement and trepidation almost stems from wondering if it'll all come together well.
Arrow: Could Diggle Actually Be Green Lantern?
Actor David Ramsey has responded to the fan theory that Arrow's John Diggle is actually DC Comics' Green Lantern, John Stewart, indicating there is at least some possibility of it being the case.
When asked by ComicBook.com about whether or not he'd like to play John Stewart on Arrow, Ramsey coyly responded, "Is John Diggle John Stewart? I cannot say 'yes,' and cannot say, 'no.'"
Ramsey revealed that there has been some discussion between producers Marc Guggenheim, Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg about the possibility of Ramsey playing John Stewart on Arrow, but clarifies that he's only been told, "we're working on some stuff," and insists that if anything is going on with Stewart, it's top secret.
Would You Microchip Yourself for Your Job?
It's a little bit of this, a little bit of that: Alaina, Alex, Mark Ryan, and Justin gather to discuss Ouya's $10 million in funding, rumors about the Samsung Galaxy S6, Twitter's internal admission that it's bad at dealing with abuse, and a smidge of space news. We also cover FCC chairman Tom Wheeler's plan to make net neutrality a reality for both standard broadband and cellular data, and an office in Sweden that lets workers microchip themselves to...open doors.
