The Flash: Prison Break Stars on Reuniting as Villains
Wentworth Miller made his debut a couple of months ago on The Flash as Captain Cold and when he returns in Tuesday’s new episode he’ll have a notable ally – DC Comics villain Heat Wave, played by Dominic Purcell.
Yes, Miller and his former Prison Break costar – the man who played his brother for four years – are reuniting on The Flash, as the two now both have recurring roles on the series.
I sat down with Miller and Purcell to discuss their big TV reunion, getting to play the bad guys this time and more.
IGN: I was on the set of the next episode, and it was exciting watching you guys in full costume, playing out this big fight scene in the streets with Grant
Report: New Fire Emblem to Release in 2015
A newsletter from Nintendo Australia suggests the recently-announced new Fire Emblem will release sometime in 2015.
Originally posted on Reddit, the image shows several games set to release this year, including The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D, Mario & Donkey Kong, Monster Hunter 4, Codename S.T.E.A.M., and Xenoblade Chronicles. First revealed during last week's Nintendo Direct, there's actually very little known about the new Fire Emblem. It will join the "new 3DS family," and will see the return of veteran developers Kozaki Yusuke and Shin Kibayashi.
Revisit Alchemilla Hospital in Silent Hill-Based Source Mod
While you're patiently waiting for Silent Hills, a Half-Life 2 mod called Alchemilla is here to try to quench your old-school survival horror thirst.
Named after and set in the medical center visited in the first Silent Hill game, Alchemilla is a free Source engine mod, spotted by PC Gamer and available to download from ModDB.
Alchemilla is not directly related to Hideo Kojima and Guillermo del Toro's Silent Hills, nor is it an attempted remake of any Silent Hill game.
It follows an original storyline with a new character and "its own secrets to solve," according to its ModDB page. It was developed by a group of modders called White Noise.
Billy Crystal on Why He Returned to TV for The Comedians
Even though Billy Crystal is no stranger to TV (Soap, SNL, HBO's Comic Relief specials) it still surprised many people when it was announced that he'd be starring in a new FX comedy.
In The Comedians - which hails from Crystal, Larry Charles (Seinfeld), Matt Nix (Burn Notice) and Ben Wexler (The Michael J. Fox Show) - Crystal plays an extended version of himself as he's paired with up-and-comer Josh Gad (Frozen, The Wedding Ringer) for a new sketch show while a documentary crew films all the "generational divide" awkwardness.
So what was it about this show that drew Crystal back to television after so many years? "I was sent a Swedish show called The Comedians," Crystal told critics at the Television Critics Association press tour on Sunday, "and I was bowled over in the first five minutes. I was not looking to do anything at that time, and I thought, 'Well, Sweden, how could this be funny? It’s dark at noon there and then they drink”? And then these two comedians on the show were so inspired. It was so great. Within five minutes I said, 'I could do this show. I could like doing this show.' And the reason why is because I get to play an extended version of myself, which is great. I get to do live sketches in front of a live audience. I get to do these film pieces. I get to have crazy fun like that and work with incredible people."
Ready Player One Author Working on Sequel
Author Ernest Cline is reportedly working on a sequel to his 2011 novel Ready Player One, a book about a dark sci-fi future with elements of 80s video games and pop culture.
The news was revealed during an interview with screenwriter Zak Penn, who recently submitted a complete screen adaptation of Ready Player One. Speaking with Den of Geek, Penn revealed Cline was writing a sequel.
"Ernie's working on a sequel to it
, and it is one of those great ideas that has endless possibilities," said Penn. "And to a certain extent, the longer it exists and the more Ernie thinks about it, the more he comes up with."
What’s In Store for Marvel in April?
Marvel released their full solicitations for April 2015 today. One thing that's already clear is that the publisher is cleaning house in preparation for the launch of Secret Wars in May. Both of Jonathan Hickman's Avengers titles are ending in the transition to that epic crossover, along with other books like Secret Avengers, Fantastic Four, and Miles Morales: Ultimate Spider-Man. But even as these comics are ending, look for the debut of new series like Uncanny Inhumans and Star Wars: Kanan - The Last Padawan.
New Series:
- Avengers: Millennium #1-4
- Avengers: Operation Hydra #1
- George Romero's Empire of the Dead: Act Three #1

The Verge reports that KGI Securities analyst Ming-chi Kuo has written a note predicting an iPad stylus coming this year. He bases the prediction on his research and various patent filings from Apple. He says the stylus would launch alongside the rumored larger, 12.9-inch iPad display, but be sold separately from the so-called "iPad Pro." It's unknown if it would be compatible with previous generations.
